Those who have ever bought a video game console for their family or for their own enjoyment know that they don’t come cheap. There are other options out there if you’re just looking for a diversion, such as the flash games you can play online for free, but if you want the most technically advanced video game experience that Japan or Silicon Valley has to offer, be prepared to shell out at least a few hundred dollars. It seems like video games keep getting pricier with every new system that comes out, but the story of video game pricing will show you that if anything, you’re actually getting a lot more bang for a buck today.
